Developed idea for 'Too Famous to Get Fully Dressed'

Our idea for this song is to show a nerdy teenager who wants to be known by everyone and wants to be famous. In the video you see everyday events that he goes through during the day, you see the normal events and then you see what he wants to see. The colour for the real events are all dull and grey colours but when it switches to what the boy wants to see it changes to bright and cheerful colours. This emphasises the difference between his imagination and the real life boring events. For example, when he picks the post up off his doormat the only mail he has is bills, however, he sees it as fan mail and, when he leaves the house, the people in the street he sees as clamoring fans and media photographers.

The video starts with the boy waking up and going downstairs in his jammies. There are some bills on his doormat but when he looks they turn into fan-mail. There are other contrasts for instance, the freebies in his cereal turns into real precious items for example a toy plastic ring turns into a real one. He also looks in the mirror you see a nerdy looking kid with a ski hat on, taken from the line talking about the ski cap, and when you see his version he looks like a popular kid.

The boy leaves his house and the contrasts continue. His rubbish car turns into a nice expensive car. His wallet is actually empty, but when he looks he sees it filled with money. The line 'i remember my first beer' it changed from the boy in normal view drinking a glass of milk to the popular side drinking beer.

The video ends with the boy going back home, sitting down in what looks like a nice, modern, expensive room and suddenly the shot changes to show him in a run down room thats all dirty and grubby.
